Cushion Sizes
Your image is digitally printed directly onto the fabric at dimensions of 50cm x 30cm and 60cm x 40cm ahead of being sewn which will leave a finished cushion of approximately 48cm x 28cm and 57cm x 37cm respectively. These sizes are measured seam to seam.
Image Reproduction
We cannot guarantee your image will reproduce on fabric exactly how it appears on your screen. This is because all screen technologies vary enormously and also due to the printing process and the fabrics that we use. Colours may also vary subtly from print run to print run.
Best results are achieved when your image is uploaded to us at the required print size or that have sufficient resolution to be increased to your required print size. Please also consider the exposure of the image (a balance between light and dark in the image) as a rule of thumb it’s better for the image to be a bit lighter than a bit darker.
If you would like to trial your image or a design before committing to a full cushion we recommend our Test Print Service similarly, if you are unsure about the image you wish to use please contact us prior to purchase so that we can offer advice.
Fabric Composition
The fabric used for the cushion is comprised of 100% cotton with a weight of 210gsm. The cotton is coated with a solution that holds the ink droplets and prevents them from expanding and thus delivers a sharper image definition and reduces fade following washing.
Printing Process
Cotton cushions are printed using the direct to fabric printing process and then heat set to ensure colour fastness.
Zip Fasteners
Cushions are completed with a zip fastener at the base of the cushion. We offer four standard colours; white, black, fawn and grey that will fit all sizes of cushions we manufacture. We will use our judgement to match your cushions to the best zip colour which may differ from the standard four colours.
Cushion Care
We recommend machine washing cotton cushions at 30 degrees centigrade and that they are removed from the washer immediately. Either hang dry or tumble dry on a low setting. The nature of the fabric means that the fabric will shrink and fade somewhat following washing, however, these will drastically increase in higher temperatures so adherence to the recommended temperature is necessary to avoid this happening.
